Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions. Can't find what you're looking for? Feel free to contact me!

Do you take my insurance?

At this time, I'm unable to take insurance. I can provide you with a super-bill to submit for out of network reimbursement. Check in with your insurance company to see what your plan will cover.

What type of therapy techniques do you use?

My approach is a mix of a few different modalities, tailored to fit your individual needs. I like to use narrative therapy along with mindfulness-based somatic work, modified CBT skills, solution focused techniques and motivational interviewing.

What are your rates?

My typical rate is $140 per 45 minute session for individuals, and $160 per 60 minute session for couples and families.

What if I can't afford your rates?

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those with financial need.

What clients do you typically see?

I work with children, teens and adults for individual, family or couples work. The majority of my clients are neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD, OCD, etc), COVID-cautious, LGBTQ+, living with chronic illness, or some combination of those. I also work with people dealing with anxiety, depression and life transitions.

I'm not in California, can we still work together?

Unfortunately, at this time I'm only able to see clients located in California.

If you're looking for a neurodivergent therapist, try the Neurodivergent Therapist Directory.

If you're looking for a COVID-conscious therapist, try the COVID-Conscious Therapist Directory.

What if I want to join your groups?

I run a group therapy space called "Pandemic Processing" for those navigating the ongoing pandemic. If you'd be interested in joining the next round of groups, starting in fall 2024, send me a message.

What about Autism assessments?
